CSSA 2018 will once again bring together security experts

In 2017, the University of Cape Town in partnership with Dimension Data, hosted the inaugural Cyber Security Symposium Africa (CSSA). More than 20 national and international security experts from various fields shared their knowledge and experience with over 150 delegates. These speakers and delegates represented South African universities, government, research institutions and corporates.
CSSA 2018 will be bigger and better, and we would like you to be a part of it.

The future is now…
The symposium, which will take place 09-11 July 2018 at UCT, aims to bring together those in the security field to share knowledge and ideas, and identify possible collaborations.
The theme for CSSA 2018 is The future is now, with the intention on addressing Gartner’s trends for 2018 which include:
• skills shortage in the IT security sector,
• cloud and
• shifting to detection and response.

This year we are excited to have renowned political commentator, journalist, and host of eNCA and eTV’s The Justice Factor, Justice Malala deliver one of two keynote addresses at CSSA 2018. Konrad Wrona, visiting Research Professor from the Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, will deliver the second address.

In addition, registered CSSA 2018 delegates can sign up for free Cisco-certified cybersecurity training, as well as enjoy a range of interactive sessions, including a Hackathon.
